Easter is upon us! Time to start planning our Easter gifts and egg hunts. I’m here today to share some unique toddler Easter basket ideas!
I don’t know about you, but I don’t love to fill my toddler up with candy. The sugar high and the cranky crashes just aren’t worth it. A little chocolate here and there, sure. But a basket full of candy for a toddler? No, thank you.
Let’s put together some fun & practical Easter gift baskets for toddlers!

Cute Easter Baskets for Toddlers
First, you need a basket if you don’t already have one! You can totally use anything from around the house, or grab one of these cute options:
I’m all for having one Easter basket and re-using it for the years to come. They get stored away in the Spring bins, and it’s exciting when they appear. There’s no need to buy a new one every year!
So what do you put in a toddler’s Easter basket?

Plastic eggs filled with stickers
First you’ll need some re-usable plastic Easter eggs. These are some great ones to consider:
Next, some fun stickers to put inside! I like the roll stickers because they can easily be separated and placed inside the eggs. The options are endless depending on what your toddler is into.
Board Books
You could go with an Easter theme, or not. Books are always a hit and are a great non-candy alternative to add your toddler’s Easter basket gift.
A favorite in our house is the Itsy Bitsy Bunny: It has an adorable rhyme that my toddler can’t get enough of.
Other great Easter books for toddlers to consider include:
- Llama Llama Easter Egg by Anna Dewdney
- Little Blue Truck’s Springtime by Alice Shertle
- The Tale of Peter Rabbit by Beatrix Potter
Socks &/or Undies
I can’t help it. I’m a sucker for a practical filler. Plus, those little toddler socks are too cute. And inevitably one of a pair goes missing at least once a week, so they are always in need!
These unisex Easter critter socks are too cute:
For underwear, I highly recommend the Cat & Jack brand at Target. They are the best and aren’t too pricy!
Crayons
As I said above, bonus points if they are egg shaped or Easter themed! The fun letter shaped crayons would be a cute addition too.
Washable Paints &/or Washable Markers
You can never go wrong with more craft supplies. Toddlers LOVE crafting!
Sticker books
Does your toddler love stickers as much as mine? You simply can’t go wrong! Plus, they make learning fun. These sticker books are perfect for toddlers learning their ABC’s, animals or colors.
PlayDoh, Kinetic Sand &/or Slime
I’ve yet to come across a toddler who doesn’t love this kind of stuff. Why not add some to your toddler’s Easter gift basket?
Small Puzzles
Anything to keep toddlers entertained!
The Melissa & Doug wooden puzzles are the best. You can find all kinds of puzzles depending on what kinds of things your toddler is into.
Small Stuffed Animals
Easter themed – or not, these are always a hit! Bunnies, chicks, and duckies are all great Spring choices.
Beanie Boo’s like these are always a great option too. There’s something about those big, sparkly eyes!
Sidewalk Chalk
Any outdoor activities are great additions to your toddler’s Easter basket gift! Spring is in the air, and it’s time to get outside. I love the appearance of this glitter chalk! It’s just perfect for Easter.
Bubbles
Bubble wands, bubble guns, bubble machines. All things bubbles are a great Easter basket filler for toddlers!
Cute T-shirt, Pajama &/or Swimsuit
Another practical choice since these kiddo’s are constantly outgrowing their clothes. You can find great deals on T-shirts and swimsuits at Target. The softest, most comfortable pajamas by Burt’s Bees make a great addition too.
That’s a wrap. I hope you enjoyed all of these Toddler Easter basket ideas!
Happy Easter!
